Bringing Chinese husband to the UK- advice needed :)?

the thing is, i'm Polish, currently living in the Mainland China and married half a year ago to a native Chinese boy. i have worked before in the UK, about a year and a half...though one year was as an au pair with an english family, so i wasn't registered anywhere. in september this year, i'm going to begin studying at a british university, i'll be working too of course...

and so my question is: will my husband be able to come to the UK with me, live with me and work? what conditions do we have to fulfill?

i read on some website that i may have to: ';prove to the consulate that you can accommodate him and that you can support him financially until he gets work'. would that be the case? how much would i be required to have on my bank account, and what if i don't?

we're going to go to Poland first and i guess we'd apply for his visa to the UK from englisg embassy in poland too...i suppose it'd be easier to obtain than from Beijing. also, when he gets the visa -marriage visa it is called i suppose? - can he work in the UK straight away or have to get some other papers, like work permit or something..?

he speaks english, though not perfect :)

thanks for any response :)Bringing Chinese husband to the UK- advice needed :)?
Yes u can bring him, but unless u lived %26amp; worked in UK for 12 months to make u free from WRS, its gonna be a tiny bit difficult.

I am printing Official UK visa websites it has all the details how to bring ur man from China.

You do need a job with at least three pay slips %26amp; a place to live (accommodate him). If u are under WRS, he will be given only six months entry clearance and once ur are free from 12 months restrictions, his stay will be extended with 5 years Spouse visa. Once he is in UK, make sure u extended his stay well in advance (apply six weeks before entry clearance expires).

Good luck.
