Best round the world ticket (UK, Japan, NZ and Oz) ADVICE PLEASE!?

Hi,

I'm going on honeymoon next year and we want to incorporate Japan, New Zealand and Australia (starting and ending in London). Is it best to do this on a round the world ticket? Can anyone give me some advice on the best alliance to use etc? Thanks,

The best alliance would have to be OneWorld as that includes JAL (Japan), BA (UK), and Qantas (Oz) with probably more flight choice than the other alliances. With those three airlines you can take direct flights to the countries you mention.

As to whether a RTW or a set of flights, that all depends on dates. RTW can be more flexible but if you're only doing a small portion of what it offers, it may well be cheaper to book flights separately.Best round the world ticket (UK, Japan, NZ and Oz) ADVICE PLEASE!?
go to a specialised gap year/ young traveller agent like STA they'll give you good impartial advice and get you the best deal.

for example by leaving on the 15th aug instead of the 13th we saved 拢388 on our tickets because it's slightly more off peak - i didn't know this and only found out by going to them. the're full of tips and tricks to get the best deals
