We are thinking of moving to Canada from UK and need lots of advice!!!?

We are a family of 4 including 2 children aged 16 and 11. Our professions are a Primary School Teacher and a Bricklayer. We intend to rent a property but at this moment, we don't really know what part of Canada would be the best for us. Any other information regarding Canada would be really helpful to us. We are thinking of moving to Canada from UK and need lots of advice!!!?
Go to http://www.workpermit.com

There you can find out if you meet the requirements for admission. If you don't the question is pointless.

It is tough getting into Canada as the required standards are high. Lots of useful information including an online questionnaire where you can check if you qualify.

I live in Canada, Manitoba, Winnipeg. Most of the people who come here, go straight to Toronto or Vancouver because they are the two big and crowded and live cities in Canada. Montreal is good too (although u can't study there because of too many distraction haha it's a live city and restaurants are open till like 4 5 am I havent been there but i heard that) poeple say u dun think ur in Canada when ur in Montreal because of too many international poeople.

you dun wanna go to Quebec because they speak French and u would be lost. and plus they dun like it to see u dun speak French. they are very prejidous.

A friend of mine lives in Ottawa (capital) and she says she doesnt feel she's in Canada at all haha alot of international poeple. but i dun know much about it.

Alberta, Calgary is the best city in Canada to find jobs right now. because of the Oil they have. my sister just moved there with her husband cuz he got a job. good pay too but expensive houses but again the salary is good so the level off. LOTS of jobs in Calgary. weather is Calgary changes all the timre because of a kinda Wind they have. but it's close to Banff which is a really nice city. alotta poeple go there to Ski.

Here in winnipeg you could have a nice start. it's a quite city. not too many people like toronto and vancouver to make it hard to compete. the only bad thing is it's VERY cold in winter. it gets up to -50 at the coldest. so if ur not ready for lots and lots of snow then winnipeg won't be ur choice. but it's called Prairies, so no mountain. it's all flat. Toronto gets cold but not as cold. Vancouver doesn't get as cold though. it's the nicest weather in canada. only it rains alot. you might find it really hard for your kids to get into the university because alotta people live there and it makes it really hard. lots of competition (both in toronto and vancouver). Other cities like Saskatoon in Saskachewan province is a small city. smaller than winnipeg. Nova Scotia is far East. I havent been there, so have many other poeple. I dun know alot about it but not too many international people go there. very little.

Edmondon is also in Alberta and 2 hours from Calgary. the biggest mall in the Canada and States is in Edmonton. It was made by a Persian family! it's a great mall! weather wise and work wise is not much different from calgary i dun think.

Sorry I dun know alot about other cities. Northern cities are very cold and you don't wanna go there. alot of Native poeple live there too.

anyways Hope this helps.

I live in southern ontario, an hour from toronto so I can commute if I want. Peterborough to be exact. It's a cute perfect little town, and I've lived here my whole life. :)

btw if i could give u some advice, do not move right in Toronto... very bad idea.
While any place in Canada would be fine, you'll be able to find more work in the more populated areas. Look in the suburbs of Toronto, or out in the Vancouver area.
Toronto will be the right option for you , good luck
they have a funny acsent
