I've discovered the best way to make money, in my free time.

This is how: you buy a .ws domain, and you have your own web page on intenet, for 10$ a month.

But for every person you register at our page they give you 1$, but they also give you 1$ for every person they register, for 5levels, every month.

For example:

You register 5people and they give you 5$, each of them regeisters 5people, so they give you 25$, 125$, 625$ and 3125$, every month!

You can also get a bonus of 100$ for registering 5people in a week.

The first week is free, and if you aren't convinced you can get out easily.

It's a great oportunity for people that haven't got much money.

I found a new business that could help you make extra money go to happyever6.ws and watch the movie. llisten to the presentation this will show you how.
I have a whole bonch of free websites that pay you for registering at free websites. And also I have a online tutorial for better success. Make sure to check it out:

sell all your unwanted items %26amp; junk on ebay anyone will buy it. I have sold loads of rubbish for unbielable prices.
An escort - good money and cash in hand straight away
you can sell blood and sperm
Sell some useable, good quality goods on ebay. Other than that, there are no get-rich-quick ideas that work, generally speaking, unless you hit the lottery or, for some strange reason, are able to buy and quick-sell a property with huge equity :-)

Of course, I own a business that generates nice income, but it takes time to get to this point. But, 1-5 years is quick when you think about working a job for 20-30 and NEVER get rich.

  • Money advice needed (UK Only)?

Both myself and my partner have about 拢12000 debt. She has about 拢6000 and I have about 拢6000. We are paying them off with the minimum payments which total to about 500-600 pcm.

We need a consolidation loan to lower the monthly payments but no where seems to want to lend to us. (We have tried everywhere we can think of!)

My partner has bad credit and a CCJ.

I seem to only be able to obtain credit for about 拢2000 and no more than that. I don't have really bad credit, but I have missed a couple of payments in the past. (Although I have been up to date with all credit agreements for the last year)

How do we go around getting a loan for this much, we have tried google-ing bad credit loans etc and they don't want to touch us

(I have only been applying for me, not a joint app)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and even though I am going to say ';No spam posts or no survey ideas'; i know they are going to appear......Money advice needed (UK Only)?
Have you tried going to citizens advice for some help, they are very good at helping people to arrange their money problems,I hope you manage to get yourself sorted out,it sounds as if you are going to be paying this lot off for a long time, what about your own bank, but I would say try citizens first,it might surprise you, good luck, hope this helpsMoney advice needed (UK Only)?
Difficult one this, and I do feel sorry for you. Have you considered declaring yourself bankrupt?

Yes Citizens advice is your first port of call. And please, I beg you, do not consider taking out consolidation loans. You will just end up getting involved with bigger and bigger sharks.

Any advice on uk interviews/is this unlucky or dodgy.........?.!?

A friend of mine was told she would be losing her job at the end of March due to department restructures etc but was verbally offered a lesser paid filing job in the same building. She said yes to this but continues to job hunt, as even now she has no definite written offer of the filing job.

She was previously told she would not get a very favourable reference-this is up to the employer but from what i have seen, a little unfair when she frequently worked late to finish things, covered extra work when the senior staff were away etc. At a performance meeting she was asked why things had not been done in the week that her manager and collegue both took for holiday/a boob job-leaving her and one other to do everything!

She does not get paid to do overtime but frequently stays to finish things.

Twice her bosses have been through her desk.

Today she had an interview in a different building/area, same organisation, for a different job.

Instead of going sick(she was too worried about what could be said), she told her boss she would be going for interview in the morning and needed the day off, especially as she would need to travel some way.(same company so she thought an amount of honesty was best!)

the interview was in the afternoon as it happened!

She has now phoned me in a dither as it appears that the interviewer today divulged the fact that she went this afternoon for interview to her current bosses-they in return have questioned why she needed the day off!this struck me as rather nasty-especially in this climate when she has no firm job offer.

She has no clear indicator of who she can go to above her current bosses to discuss things-she has previously suffered from depression and although now fully recovered is becoming very anxious about things.

I said it would be worth talking to the citizens advice bureau as she feels that an iffy reference may hamper any chances of employment at the moment.

she said she has not made any mistakes to note and works hard therefore is worried by the reference they may have provided.

What do people think?Any advice on uk interviews/is this unlucky or dodgy.........?.!?
I can't answer in great detail without (believe it or not) more comprehensive information. She is more than entitled to invoke a grievance procedure and a company handbook or T%26amp;C''s within CoE will detail how it is fact covered.

Be clear however they CAN'T give a bad reference!!! Oh there are ways of course, I have seen many glowing references and right at the bottom when it asks ';would you re-employ person?'; The say ';NO.'; Which tends to tell you all you need to know. Refusal to give a reference is quite legal and again communicates 'a message.'

It very much sounds like a 'witch hunt,' and without playing 'devils advocate' here your friend would seem to be between a rock %26amp; a hard place.

This is exactly the sort of case I would look at but would need to really get a feel for the case. To bring one against them presently would be likely restricted to a claim for constructive dismissal; which one should not throw away lightly, settlements with a PROVEN case can be 'reasonable' but do take time.

The balance of your friend鈥檚 situation seams to be about pre-empting what might happen next and until it does you can only wait. Document EVERYTHING, and also document what the personnel file holds on the individual (if indeed you know) although you can request a copy at any time quite freely. They may not refuse you.

    Benefits advice please? UK only?

i am awaiting a reply for my applicate for job seekers allowance after being paid off my work. my husband has recently found out he too is being paid off next week. What can we claim benefits wise in the mean time? i have been applying for jobs as soon as i was told about being paid off and my husband is already seeking employment. Obviously due to the current financial crisis there isnt many jobs anywhere. In the mean time what can we do? we have a 6 month old baby and we currently pay all of our council tax and rent. My baby gets 拢20 a week child benefit and 拢21.65 tax credit. From next week this will be the only money coming into our home. Any advice would be great! We have never been in this situation before and therefore have no idea what we are best doing. Thanks (please no smart comments, when we planned to have a baby both our jobs were secure, but just now nobodys job is secure anymore). thanks againBenefits advice please? UK only?
call your local council and tell them u need to put in a claim for housing benifit and counciln tax benifit. they will pay your housing and council tax in full as long as you are both out of work. if one of you gets a job, they will pay some of it depending on how much you get paid.

claim jobseekers allowance... contact your job centre. both of you will be entitled to full job seekers as long as you dont have more than 拢4000 in savings,.... if you have 拢16000+ in savings you wont be entitled to any help.

get on the phone to tax credits (08453003900) and tell them whats happened. u will be reduced your working tax and childcare help, but will still claim child tax, and child benifit.

if you were a single parent you would be entitled to income support. but, as you are not, it means a trip to the job centre every 2 weeks to proove you are activly seeking employment.

remember when u find employment, you must tell the job centre and tax credits straight away... not only to make sure you get your claim for workiing tax in asap, but also to ensure you get your childcare costs covered (they pay 75% of the total cost for you)

good luck xBenefits advice please? UK only?
hi i feel for you really i do, you are intitled to a range of different benefits, some of which may be, income support, child tax credits, housing and council tax benefits, go to your local job centre and ask to talk to someone, they will be able to tell you exactly what benefit you could get and also help you look for other jobs that may be available in your area.

have a look on there website

    www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk

they really are the best people to ask.

good luck i hope everything works out for you xxx
you can claim housing benefit and council tax benefit. youl be able to make a joint claim for jobseekers allowance. youl need to make these claims straight away, we had to wait nearly 6 weeks to find out if my partner was entitled to anything and he wasnt, because i was on maternity allowance. if you make a claim and they dont get it sorted out for you and you need money you can apply for a crisis loan from them! best of luck.
Get yourself down the local DSS office (or whatever they call it these days).

They will help you with all the forms you need to fill in for Job Seekers Allowance, Income support, Council tax benefit, housing benefit etc etc
Speak to your local Citizens Advice Bureau or (better still) go to see them.
    Income support
If you call the council for advice expect to be given different answers by different people. After all there are so many variables, and frankly the council don't like giving money out without a fight. Your best bet is to go to your local Citizens Advice Bureau... they are much more impartial and will be able to tell you what you are entitled to. It is much easier going to the council saying you want x, y and z rather than hoping they will tell you that you might or might not be eligible for x, y an z. Hope that made some sense.... contact your CAB, best advice.

Good luck with the job hunting!
I know exactly what you are going through, the same has happened to me and my partner and we have a child too. You should be able to claim JSA as a family, I'm not sure about Income Support we were told that is for lone parents, and we could only claim JSA. You need to ring your local job centre as soon as your partner has finished work and tell them your current situation. It will be between 拢150 - 拢200 a fortnight. Ask your local council office for a housing benefit form asap, they will pay your rent (or most of it depending on the size, how many bedrooms etc) and they will pay all of your council tax. They will probably be pretty busy with a lot of people who have been made redundant and are in the same boat as you, so I would advise you to ring them everyday and chase your application, when they pay you it should be backdated from the date you applied. Hope this helps xx

    Legal advice needed (UK);?

I chastised my 14yr old 2wks ago and she called the police as the youth of today seem to want to do- I had a sergeant (female) tell me ';I WISH THERE WERE MORE PARENTS LIKE YOU'; (true quote).

As a consequence of the police being called APPARENTLY it is the polices duty to notify the dreaded 'SOCIAL SERVICES' and I need to know if they have any rights to come interfering on my property without a court issued warrant- which surely can only be issued should there be any concern by the officers that investigated- Who had time with my daughter alone, full run of the house and were not impeded in any respect- I actually sat and watched my adolescant phone them- what else can I do- if they want to ring the police- who am I to stop them.

Can the SS come onto my property without a warrant, CAN I refuse them access?

I have nothing to hide but do not want to tolerate agencies like this in affairs that their obvious superiors have already dealt with (THE POLICE) and wish them all speed to the children that are really being abused.Legal advice needed (UK);?
If you have nothing to hide then the best way you can demonstrate that is to comply fully. The Social Services are greatly maligned and do excellent work.

Incidentally, the police are by no means superior to the social services, they do vastly different jobs.

    ***EDIT***

The social services work pishing hard to keep children safe and they do a damn good job for thousands of kids every single day. There are occasional tragedies, but by and large they do not have a 'poor track record', and they are far from 'militant'

If you've done nothing wrong, if the children are safe and thriving, then nothing further will happen. If you present with the kind of attitude you give here than they'll, completely understandably, think you're up to no good.Legal advice needed (UK);?
The best answer is taken as being a poor one, the social services are a frightened bunch of semi- toffs who are embroiled in red tape half the time and stuck up their own a**es for most of the other half- Their own job would be a damn sight easier if we had the death sentance for paedophiles.

    LLTQ

Social services have certain duties and responsibilities that will result in further action by them. If they have reason to believe that a minor is in physical danger then they can easily get legal access. Their powers are quite far reaching and most courts tend to err on their side, in the first instance, until the circumstances can be fully investigated.

    UK Mortgage advice needed?

I temp in The City in the banking industry, following redundancy a year ago after 18 years employment with Natwest. Will my salary be taken into account when me and my girlfriend apply for a mortgage, given that I am not in a 'permanent' role and move jobs every 6 months or so. We would have over 15% deposit of the property's value.UK Mortgage advice needed?
If you are temping you may have to take a declared salary mortgage.

Basically, you declare your own income from your temping business as it is not predictable.

Be cautious though, you are always taking a mortgage on your own risk - if you say you earn 500 grand and only earn 50 then if you cannot pay off the dues then you will lose your home.

Also, as this mortgage is a higher risk to the lender, you will pay a higher interest rate than the standard mortgages.

    UK Mortgage advice needed?
i think you have to be in the same job for 6 months before your salary would be taken into account and i think you have to be permanent i got my mortgage 3 years ago i dont know whether things have changed now but that's how things were when i got mine

  • Uk legal advice please?

If someone does not adhere to the agreement made through the court on an 'agreement and consent order' what should you do? Thank you

I asked before but it wasn't on uk answersUk legal advice please?
You don't say how long this individual has not been adhering to the Court Order... if it was almost as soon as the Order was made you may find yourself on a bit of a sticky wicket since the Court will question why you didn't take action sooner.....if however this individual has been adhering and then only recently not adhered to the Order, then the Courts will want to speak with them (usually during a Hearing in Chambers) to find out what has happened to make them break the Order..... if it's a situation that has suddenly occurred, the Court might consider giving this individual more time to find a way of adhering to the Order..... whichever way it is you will need to go back to the Court and request a Hearing so that both sides can put their situations and arguments re adhering to the Order.... it may be that another judge might find that the original Order was unreasonable or created a situation where the individual experienced hardship in some way that has resulted in not adhering to the Order.... only a Judge can hear any appeal and make a decision on where fault (if any lies) .....however it must be borne in mind that a breach of a Court Order can result in prison time..... so be very clear about your position in this situation ..... it might be a better idea (since only you know the full extent of the situation and relevant circumstances) to ask for the Order to be varied (this showing that you are trying to be reasonable) so that the other person really cannot argue about not adhering to the Order.... then the Court will take a much sterner view on non-compliance......Uk legal advice please?
Well, it depends what it is.

If it's an agreement to pay money, the court will take enforcement proceedings if you request them to do so.

If it's an agreement to take a step in on-going proceedings, the court may strike out the claim or defence of the defaulting party.

The order should specifiy what must be done, and what will happen if it is not done. If in doubt, refer the matter back to court and they will list it for a hearing if necessary.
Depends upon the wording of the order, depends whether the matter is under appeal (*), and, depends whether a Judge of 'elevated rank' is dealing with the matter (*) - with appropriate leave of course.
    speak to a solicitor

    answer mine please

    http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind鈥?/a>
You go back to your solicitor, who will take appropriate action. the penalties for breaking such agreements can be severe.
The person is in contempt of court. Consult a solicitor and start legal proceedings
Contact your solicitor/court, they will advise you further
Contact the court as they will be in breach of a court order

    UK Allotment advice please.?

I have just taken over an overgrown, neglected, allotment and I'm not sure where to start. I know it is a bit late in the year but...... Should I concentrate on sorting the ground or planning where things should go. I live in the North West by the sea. We get a lot of rain and wind...UK Allotment advice please.?
    Hi there,

Just wanted to say congratz on getting your lottie, I'm still waiting for one. As others have said, do not rotovate - you will spend the next 10 years pulling out weeds if you do. Start working patch at a time, and get each patch planted up as fast as you can. By doing this, you stop other weeds taking over and you can still get something to harvest this year.

A really helpful site is : www.allotments4all.co.uk The people there are really helpful and are very, very clued up on the workings and laws etc concerning allotments.

I hope this helps you in some way and hope that you have many very happy years on your lottie. Wishing you success :-)

Feel free to email me if you feel I could help further.UK Allotment advice please.?
Hi - I would not use a rotovator if I was you as although you end up with a lovely looking plot within a few hours as soon as the rain comes and the sun shines on it - up comes all of those pesky weeds again - with a vengeance!!!! You are better of strimming down the worst of it to about knee level - making sure that you remove any seed heads first so that they are not dispersed further around the plot ready to germinate again!! ~then it is the old fashion digging method I am afraid. You are not to late to put in potatoes still - a main crop that stays in the ground for a longer period of time is probably best so that you can still get the length of time that it needs in the ground before the wet autumn weather comes again. Beans, Peas, Cabbages are all still ok to get going - just clear the area that you want to grow them in and get them in!! Make sure you net them so that the pigeons don't eat all your hard work!! Salad crops are always good. I would dig a square or rectangle plot and then plant in it - you will get disheartened otherwise if you try to tackle the whole plot and not grow anything. You will love it once you get started and wonder how you lived without an allotment. Wishing you the best of luck and a successful first year on the allotment :o)
Concentrate on removing the weeds by physically digging over the plot do not use a rotovator as they chop deep rooted weeds and couch grass etc making the task even harder when they start to grow. You will not achieve clearing the ground over night but time spent now in clearing will help you a lot next season. As you clear a section you could plant some salad crops like radish or lettuce and this will give you incentive to carry on with the task of clearing the ground. Not only will you achieve a clear allotment but the exercise and fresh air will help you
Hi from an allotment grower with 60 years experience the last thing to use is a rotovator they chop the weedsup and make the job worse.Start to clear the ground and shake as much soil off the weeds as you can and and pile them up ready to burn when dry.Ask advise from other plot holders they are usually most helpful You are not too late to plant some veg again ask pot holders .I am much further South than you so could not advise what to sow ,but yes you will be able to grow some thing
Right. Now I will give you yet another alternative. Don't dig.

This works on large areas that are not planted. Strim the weeds down, only dig out things like brambles. Cover the whole area in newspaper several layers thick. Wet the newspaper and put mown grass on top. If there is any woodchip/sawdust hanging around add that too.

Leave that to rot away and plan what you will plant. Water it occasionally if it looks dry, add more if it looks thin, weed anything that tries desperately to come through.

You will end up with a friable, weed free, moist soil and no aching muscles.

  • Advice on Becoming a Doctor (UK and US)?

Ive had this dream for a while now but haven't yet had the will to pursue it. but now i actually have the choice, im stuck and don't know what to do. amongst other things i cant decide weather to move to the US to Practise medicine or stay in the UK where competition is extremely high, what with the recession and all. so if there are some successful doctors here UK or US Got any advice or useful Information?Advice on Becoming a Doctor (UK and US)?
First you need to decide if you definately want to be a doctor.

It is extremely rewarding, you get to interact with lots of different people, you use problem solving skills, and you use all the skills you learn in everyday life.

BUT, it can be stressful and as you have already mentioned the competition levels are high, and now students really need to convince the interview panel why they want a career in medicine.

I personally could not imagine doing anything else, but the choice is yours.

In RE: to US vs UK, it is competitive in US as well and remember most candidates in US are expected to do a form of basic medical degree before being accepted onto a medical degree, and the studying is a long one, and I dont know how well you understand international health models, but the US do not use a NHS system and do turn people away based on financial reasons, and I know I could not look in the mirror if we practice that way in Britain, so you need to consider that as well.

I advice you look at university prospectives to look at admission criteria, try to get work experience at a GP practice or in hospital. There are books available e.g. How to get into medical school, just type it in amazon. And just talk to different people.

Remember medicine as a career is hard but extremely rewarding, and to be honest with you once you qualify you dont really have to worry too much about money.

hope this has been helpful, I wish you all the best.Advice on Becoming a Doctor (UK and US)?
I agree with Mark J above but would just like to add that although a career in medicine *can* be rewarding, it can also be extremely tough - there's often little thanks to be had, you're regularly shouted at and abused by those you are trying to help and you get paid a lot less than others who are similarly qualified (lawyers, dentists etc).

My advice is to spend some time shadowing doctors in a hospital to be sure that it's for you.

I just opened an account where whatever money i put in stayed there as with the others there's a chance you could end up coming out with less that you put in there but then again depending on the interest rates you could end up with more.. It's just a gamble with that option. Good luck.

It all depends on what her current Visa status is in the UK at the moment. Is she working? Is she a student? if she is working for how long? In the UK , where can i get free legal advice?

The citizens advice bureau offers free legal advice if you are a person deemed not able to pay for it yourself.

Otherwise there are a lot of No Win No Fee firms that recover the cost from the other side; it depends on what you need advice for however.

for example if you have received unpreventable (on your part) injury...

  • 31 weeks pregnant with a cavity i need some advice from UK ladys?

Hi guys, i am 31 weeks pregnant and at 4 weeks i was told i had a cavity as it didnt hurt she said to leave it till the babys born. Went back 3 weeks ago and she said the hole had got bigger ( well duh!) and i now need root canal work. Im not in constant pain but obviously i want it sorted and i am very wary when eating on that side. Dentist is adamament that it needs to wait and i need some advice is this is correct. It seems in the UK dentist are reluctant to do anything, i even asked her 3 weeks ago to pull the tooth and she said no :( feel like im stuck cant have the work done - but yet i need it done.

As its not hurting and i have had the hole since 4 weeks its not going to harm my baby is it? only if it gets infected?

xx31 weeks pregnant with a cavity i need some advice from UK ladys?
Hi im in the UK no it wont hurt your baby hun honestly i had ea\r infections every other week during my pregnancy and Dr's just couldn't clear it up.

but i had my Wisdom tooth removed at 41 weeks of pregnancy i was given a anesthetic injection which the dentist said is one of the very few things they can do safely for a pregnant lady.

but seeing how your cavity is not causing you any problems id just leave it, as you don't have long to now until your deliver.

    So don't worry

    Good Luck

x 31 weeks pregnant with a cavity i need some advice from UK ladys?
Having unhealthy mouth can hurt your baby. I am sure your Doctor have told you that before! I know in the US they do! So, I would suggest your mouth fixed as as possible! You don't want anything bad happen to your baby!
i had filling done when i was 9 weeks, they wont x ray you until after baby born
its the silver ones they don't like doing although they don't have a great deal of research to show its bad for baby, iv had a nightmare with my teeth right through pregnancy! last week i had to have two teeth surgically removed and it needed 28 stitches, they had tried to take one out a month prior but it cracked and they got the one next to it hence the fact they had to cut out! they would normally put you to sleep for this proceedure but couldn't coz of baby... they do need to do another couple of fillings but are waiting til after baby comes.

if it isn't hurting i suggest you hold on, it won't hurt baby and even if it gets an infection the chance of harm to baby is still very low, if it does become painful they might be able to do the work and fill it with temporary filling instead until baby arrives to save you any concern! you don't have long left, good luck with everything xx

Driving UK to Paris, should we stay in a hotel north of city and commute in? Thanks for any advice?

My advice is not to stay in the rather torrid Paris suburbs but to take the Eurostar train from London St Pancras to Paris and stay in the centre of Paris. Eurostar will sell you a train/hotel package; the centre of Paris is beautiful; most of the sites you wish to visit will be within walking distance or there is an excellent Metro service and good suburban trains going out to places such as Versailles.

Advice please: I want to study law, UK route or US route?

I'm currently in high school doing the IB diploma and I want to study law. I can't decide whether I should go to the UK or to the US. What are the advantages/disadvantages?

advice is appreciated!Advice please: I want to study law, UK route or US route?
It depends where you want to practice and which country you're in at the moment. It will usually be cheaper and easier for home students in both places, and there won't be any post study immigration issues.

The biggest difference really is how legal education works: In the US law (Juris Doctorate) is a post-graduate degree lasting 3 years. You *have* to do an undergrad degree first (usually 4 years) and admission is heavily influenced by a standardised test (LSAT). After completing JD, you'd take the bar exam for the relevant US state. If you passed, you would be qualified to practice.

In the UK, law is an undergraduate degree lasting three years. To practice law you have to pick which legal proffession you want to be in - solicitor or barrister - after your law degree you take a professional practice course (either LPC or BVC) lasting 1 year, and then a sort of legal apprenticeship (training contract or pupillage) in which you work with an established practitioner. If you successsfully complete all that then you are qualified.Advice please: I want to study law, UK route or US route?

Thinking of buying a brand new car, advice needed UK only.?

I am now 21, I am thinking of buying a brand new car as i will be driving 80 miles a day.

I would like a small diesel car, I would want something over 100 bhp and good mpg, but understand this may not be possible. in addition i want the service costs to be reasonable.

I have 7 grand cash, wont need finance and willing to stretch for the right car.

I have done a bit or research and there are a lot of free insurance deals out there for example FORD range, Mazda 2, Corsa, C2 are all offering free insurance for at least a year, as insurance is around 1000 GBP it makes scene to go for one of theses deals

    What car would you recommend?

    Thanks Guys

You also should compare car insurance quotes for different cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.imess.netThinking of buying a brand new car, advice needed UK only.?

Documentation required for UK driver driving in Ireland (Republic)? Or any useful advice about differences?

My UK insurance covers me for 60 days in the EU, I have a full UK driving licence, and I have extended my UK AA ( that's cars, not alcoholics ) cover. I will be carrying my passport, have up to date UK road tax ( 'disc' in the window) and a valid UK MOT certificate.

    Anything else I should know?

Documentation required for UK driver driving in Ireland (Republic)? Or any useful advice about differences?
You have all the legal requirements. No problems there. One thing to bear in mind is that we went metric and all speed limits and distance signs are in Kilometers. Top speed on Motorways is 120 kilometers per hour, don't be fooled into thinking it's miles per hour. Main roads are N roads at 80 K max. Drink driving is not tolerated and a mandatory 2 years loss of license.

Thats all u need! btw ur exempt from penalty points on speed cameras so feel free to drive fast! JOKE You have all sorted anyway! driving here is exact same as over there! have a nice trip!

The tax Free petrol.???.... Your on about green diesel, its red in the uk! thats agricultural diesel, I dont think she has to worry about that! people use it in diesel cars cos its cheaper but a much lower grade! u know what ur buying when u buy it!!
one thing you should be cautious about, since people slip over the border to fill up on the tax free petrol, most of it is a diffrent colour, and if you get stoped by the police once back in the UK, you could be fined.

  • Some weird guy with a mobile camera.... advice needed. UK Please?

I was just coming down the street and no, i wasnt breaking the speed limit, a lot slower infact and this weird guy with an anorak on, took a picture of my car with his mobile phone camera, intruiged i turned around and asked him why he took a picture, he said you were speeding...... i told him where to go, he then said he was going to the police to report it. i laughed and drove off. I just dont think someone can walk into a police station, with a picture of a car on a mobile, and say, this car was speeding..... or can they, he was a right idiot and wouldnt mind so much if i was. Any advice, or just ignore it?Some weird guy with a mobile camera.... advice needed. UK Please?
    ROFL.

    Just Ignore it.

How can you tell if a car is speeding from a photograph (other than if it was taken by a speed camera).

You can't judge how fast something is moving from a still photo. A mobile phone camera isn't the best of quality anyway.

Even if you were speeding he'd be lucky to get a shot of your car (and if he did it wouldn't be very clear).

Going slowly past in a car is probably the only way he would get a clear photo on a mobile camera.

If he took that into the police station they would think he was crazy. Some weird guy with a mobile camera.... advice needed. UK Please?
He can report you and make a statement against you for reckless driving. This did happen to a friend of mine (who was driving like a berk) and all they got was a letter telling them to behave in a nut shell.

If he took a photo as appose to a video then obviously you weren't driving that fast.

Hes probably just a busy body with naff all better to do with his time.
he is a new breed of police '; informers '; equipped with a very high tech '; speedlog '; mobile phone cam .these are supplied by all police forces throughout the UK to local speed ( civilian ) enforcement officers . it will stand up in court . your nicked .
    ignore.it

    he.took.a.pic.of.your.car

    unless.his.cell.phone.has.radar

    police.wont.do.****
ignore it, he has to have hard evidence, even the police can't give you a ticket without evidence from a speed gun or speed camera
The police will probably laugh at him too. How can they verify what your speed was from a mobile phone video??? I'd just forget about him unless you see him doing it again. Then run the gimp over.
omg, some people. Nope nothing can happen.

    Dont worry.
ha ha ha just ignore what this guy did ... when you get caught speeding there is alot more things like the speed you was doing , pic of your car ect i dont think a mobilephone has all this capability to do all this ...

if you think about it in this way when you get a speeding ticket of a camrea on the picture what the DVLA recieve it has on it the time , date , location, your car , number plate . and the speed . abit like what you see on the P,N,C kit in a police car . in other words the camrea in side a police car . and when you protest this at court they show you the picture with all this info on it . so dont worry he sounds like a right idiot . the villag kn*bhead in other words lol

Should the UK take advice from the Muslim Council of Britain and ban un-Islamic activities at schools?

    The link: http://www.express.co.uk/news_detail.htm…

    A snip:

';DEMANDS for a ban on “un-Islamic” activities in schools will be set out by the Muslim Council of Britain today.

Targets include playground games, swimming lessons, school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations.

And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban-style conditions will be launched with the help of a senior Government education adviser.';Should the UK take advice from the Muslim Council of Britain and ban un-Islamic activities at schools?
absolutely not. but politicians are selling out. the free world will all eventually live under islamic rule. . . unless we finally stand up to these people.Should the UK take advice from the Muslim Council of Britain and ban un-Islamic activities at schools?
Quietly, the cancer is spreading, just don't try it on me...
No. If the British people wish to keep the freedoms they have enjoyed for centuries they must make the muslims conform to British norms of else leave the UK. What we are seeing is the invasion of the UK by hordes of hostile muslims who take advantage of British generosity, and then when their numbers are large enough, attack the very institutions which made possible the generosity that allowed them to be fed while the muslims were building their occupation force in England.

This demand of theirs for British schools to conform to muslim rules is an attempt by muslims to see how hard and how far they can push the British people and they are using British institutions against the British people.

What they could not do with the force of arms because of the primitive nature of muslim societies they are doing through a creeping stealth. Every muslims who arrives in England adds to the invading jihadist force which is rising against the English people to subject them to muslim law which denies the freedoms the British people now take for granted.

Do not let them take your freedom.

Wake up and smell the jihad...
yes I am taking up car bomb drivers 101
I disagree with your statement sir.

    - In Islam, Playground games is allowed as long as it didn't bother the individual/s religious and earthly life.

    - According to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)Swimming lessons Is Strictly Necessary for a Muslim,

but it have to be done with proper attire and with separation between men and women.

    - School Pays hmm, the main reason of going to school is to study right? so let's just leave the plays part to our playgrounds :]

    - Every Muslim are Obliged to do sport.

    - Parent's evenings, i didn't get this one, what's the main objective of this event? if it's for a beneficial reason than it's allright.

-- Vaccinations, Islam NEVER prohibit something that could save and preserve life.

So i think wherever you got those statements sir. They're lying

I think the non muslim people should be informed more about Islam so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding like this.

    Have a nice day

    Peace

Racsim in uk any advice please?

My girlfriend and i called into my local club,(she is a cancer nurse in the N.E of the uk, from Kenya and been here 3 yrs, a mob in the corner called her a BLACK BA###RD , and said she should not be in this country, we informed the local police but they have not done a thing about it about it, they are always telling us to report these thing , what other steps could we take to bring these bigots to justiceRacsim in uk any advice please?
I'm sorry you had that experience. Most British people are pretty decent, but there are a few numbskulls. If you think about it, justice has already been served. Their crime is their punishment.Racsim in uk any advice please?
The police probably haven't done anything about it because they probably have more important issues to deal with, like people being stabbed or robbed. Yes, what was said was wrong and disgusting, but why bother wasting your time, energy and money, trying to get them in trouble when the police probably won't do anything and when all you have to do is realize that you're better than that and ignore it? It's very simple to do, just ignore the ignorant hateful comments, but I would recommend calling the club manager and complaining about it, but anything more is a waste of time.

Here in the US, if someone said that it would be considered freedom of speech (here, it only becomes illegal when it becomes extremely violent), and most people would roll their eyes and ignore it, so why not do the same? Ignorant people aren鈥檛 worth your time.
The law forbids discrimination on the grounds of race. It also forbids inciting racial violence. There is no law that says we've got to like each other or that we can't express opinions. You get insulting people in bars - it's something to do with the product they serve. It would be difficult for the police to prove they had committed an offence.

You could make a formal complaint to the club secretary. If he decides he'd rather have racist members than black members, there's not much you can do about it other than find another bar.

Do you have any witnesses. I would speak to my local council representative if I was you and the police didn't say anything.

You may also want to contact the media. You should also always call the security or bouncers at a club or the owner as soon as such an incident occurs in a public place. Tell them that you will report the club to the police if they do not act.

You can also threaten the owners with the media.

Make a lot of noise. Dont keep quiet. This type of actions are really hurtful and uncalled for and remember in the UK you have the law on your side!
    The police have a duty to act and this could affect the licence of the club. Write also to the club. It would be considered ';inciting racial hatred';

But basically, if that happens, take your custom elsewhere. I'm surprised actually, because the North East of the UK is actually quite a tollerant place.
Ignore them and walk away. It is hard to prove that they said anything so basically you could be accused of making it up and playing the race card.

I went with a Indian friend to a pub in London a while ago, he got abuse from a thug, we called the Police and they were there is 10 minutes and arrested the guy but we had witnesses.
    throw them in the brig

Redundancy, re-apply for job? employment advice needed. UK?

    hi

i have been informed that the postion i hold at work, is part of a restructuring in our department, and that as part of restructure, i am having to re-apply for my own job. as far as im aware, the job description, job name, and pay scale have not changed, just the position has changed in the restructure (lower management).

I have been told that redundancy is an option (if i so wish), but the position is not being made redundant. And i cannot work out why im being told to re-apply for the position?

Obvioulsy this is a highly stressful situation for myself, and im not sure what to do next. I have been told to get some advice, and will be calling ACAS monday, but cannot afford to get proper legal advice, and was hoping to get help on here.

Thanks in advanceRedundancy, re-apply for job? employment advice needed. UK?
How much information do you have about the new structure? How likely is it that you will get the job?

The reason I ask is this ... I work for a large corporation that is very fond of having restructures on a regular basis. They really do give first priority for those jobs to the people who have been kicked out of their old jobs, so people are usually safe. However, there's got to be some point to the restructure, right? Surely they must be planning on making some kind of cutbacks or something. So my advice would be to do as much research around this as you possibly can, to find out whether you are really in jeopardy of not getting your job back. Talk to everyone - official channels (your manager, HR) and unofficial ones (the office gossip, the girl who's shagging the boss) - and find out all the different versions of what's going on.

Now, redundancy *cannot* be an option if your post is not actually being made redundant. In order to make someone redundant, then they need to eliminate the position and they can't employ anyone else into it for at least six months. Therefore is they've told you that redundancy is an option ... well, you're in a very strong position to negotiate. It would be essentially paying you off to leave, so if you did want to go, you may be able to negotiate a good deal for yourself far over and above statutory redundancy pay.

Definitely talk to ACAS, and the other thing to remember is that with employment law, almost all the information you need is online anyway. The BERR site is great and usually you can just google and find the appropriate Acts that you need, and even though they're long, they're not really hard to read once you get into them.Redundancy, re-apply for job? employment advice needed. UK?
Yeah that means you should take the redundancy money and look elsewhere
Hi I have just been through the same thing in the NHS and I really feel for you. ACAS are okay but you will find the advice differs depending on who you speak to, I was not overly impressed with them, I got on better with UNISON with whom I was a member. I can only assume from what you've said that the structure has changed and therefore there will be more than 1 person applying for your job, mine too had the same title, same money, same JD, they just trebled my workload!!!! What should happen is you will all be interviewed for the available posts and the successful candidate informed, unsuccessful may be offfered alternative employment in the company if this is an option, the job has to be either the same salary of 1 band lower and the same type of work. I would only consider redundancy if it is in your interests financially. It's a horrible situation to be in as I didn;t actually want the new job as I knew it was unmanagable but if you turn it down you are job less as they are not obliged to offer another job or pay you redundancy

Can anyone give me some advice on UK consumer rights?

Three weeks ago I bought 3 hairbrushes for my children from Boots the chemists in Stafford, at 拢6 each, total cost 拢18. They were very poorly made and fell apart within 24 hours.

I had already put the receipt in the bin, and did not go through the rubbish looking for it, because they were Boots own-brand, so there was no question of my having bought them elsewhere.

I did not get an opportunity to take them back to the shop till today. The sales assistant tried to refund me 3 x 拢1.50, rather than 3 x 拢6, because the brushes have been marked down and now cost 拢1.50 each.

She refused to refund the correct amount, so I took the pieces of brushes back home again.

Boots is a big retailer, and this is the sort of behaviour you would get from some dodgy black market dealer.

Does anyone know what my consumer rights are in this situation?

I could prove that I bought the brushes three weeks ago, because one of them fell apart as I was brushing my daughter's hair at a children's party the following day in front of lots of other people, but I would need to bring the other people to the shop - not very convenient!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can anyone give me some advice on UK consumer rights?
The issue here isn't proving where you bought the brushes from, but proving how much you paid for them. To prove this you must produce the receipt or your debit/credit card slip. Without this you can't prove how much you paid for the items.

The sales assistant is correct because you haven't produced a receipt or debit/credit card slip to prove how much you've paid.

My friend is a manager at Boots' biggest competitor, Superdrug. They have a system, called Electronic Journal, that allows them to access all of the receipts (electronically) going back 18 months. According to my friend, they use this system for disputes such as this. The customer need only give details of day/time they came in and the amount they spent and Superdrug will trace it and they can view a copy of the receipt. I'm not sure if Boots have a system like this, but I suppose you could ask one of their managers.

I think the best course of action here is to write a letter to Boots' head office address (see below) explaining the situation. As a mark of goodwill it's likely that they might refund you the full 拢18.

    Beeston

    NG2 3AA

Next time though, I'd recommend that you keep your receipts for items like this, in your purse for a few weeks until you know the product is ok.

Good luck. Can anyone give me some advice on UK consumer rights?
Because you did not have the receipt, you have to accept the refund at today's prices.

The only other way is if you paid for them by credit/debit card and can prove your buy at that price then you have the right to request the full price.

Now with respect, Stafford is a small town, you have to go to town to get anywhere, so I feel your excuse that you couldn't go until today is a bad excuse.
The simple answer to this is you will only get offered the current selling price for these items unless you can provide them with proof of purchase, stating you paid otherwise.

This is not just Boots' policy, it will be the same wherever you would have bought them.

In the furure, it would be worth keeping the receipt for whatever you buy.

The assistant was correct in what she did...sorry, but if you do not /cannot provide proof of purchase you will be refunded at it`s current price. Taking in your friend would be pointless. If you paid by card you could show the date and amount, then she would have to override the price. Other than that you could go to trading standards and ask them to resolve it for you.
If you can remember the exact date and EXACT time you could have a solution.

You know all these CCTV cameras they have in Boots ';for the safety of our customers'; LOL

Well ask them to look at the tapes and they will see you buying the brushes at that particular time.

Got to be worth a try.

    .
The sales assistant is correct. you have to prove that you paid 拢6 showing your receipt. Find your receipt or accept the currant price.

If you can not find it you may consider writing an appeal to customer service department.
Do an instore demonstration so the public see this crappy product. boots will want you out really pronto and will reimburse fast fast fast.

Take the faulty ones back tied up in a pretty bow and suggest that they are a gift from you to the President of Boots for his kids.

Try consumer direct as they can usually help.

    http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/
    They're faulty, Boots are responsible.

Ask the sales assistant again then take it to head office.

I've taken stuff back to Boots LOADS of times.
I think the fact you have no receipt means your options are limited
    look it up
You need to write a letter of complaint to the branch of Boots where you bought the brushes from. Give full details, when you bought them and how much you paid etc. Get a couple of people who witnessed the brush falling apart to write a letter stating that fact. Make sure you copy the letters before enclosing the originals with your letter to Boots. Keep a copy of your letter too. If you are not sure what to do telephone your local Trading Standards office for help.
Without a receipt, if it is something that could not have been purchased anywhere, like an own brand, then the store is entitled to offer you a refund at current price, or if you are really unlucky, at the lowest price they have ever sold it at.

If however you can identify a credit card receipt identifying time, date and place they have no reasonable grounds for refusing to either honour it or at least investigate it.

Then there is the head office approach. No store manager wants complaints going to head office. Push the point with head office and see what happens. At the end of the day though, you were issued a receipt for this reason, and you are within the realms of customer good will. How much care and respect does the company really have for its customers?

Genuine, as apposed to fraudulent requests such as this are more likely to be taken to head office by a customer, than the fraudulent ones that the store is guarding against.

To me hairbrushes for and used around children, that fall apart, that may introduce choking hazzards makes this possibly a stronger argument for your money back than the store originally appreciated.

Good luck. I really think you stand a better chance of getting the full refund if you deal with head office. Citizens advice might be a useful lever to get your full monies returned for ';goods not fit for the purpose';.

Maybe let us/me know how you get on?
You are entitled to a refund of what you paid. It is proving what you paid that is difficult.

OK you don't ave a receipt but do you have other evidence? Did you pay by credit / bank card? If so there will be a record of the transaction and the store can find it on their til.

Do you have a Boots clubcard? If so the points awarded will show what you paid.

OK those are cast iron proofs, there are other semi proofs, do you have a receipt for any other shop you visited at the time? A parking receipt?

When did the store change the price? If you can prove you had not been in since the price change then you could argue you had to have paid full price.

I'd write into Boots head office and complain. Include a 'witness statement' from someone at the party.
    (1) It is irrelevant the price was reduced. You paid 拢18 and are entitled to your money back or three new brushes but it is a manufacturing fault so money back it is.

    (2) Boots are totally responsible ( the store where you bought them) NOT the manufacturer.

    (3) You dont have to have a receipt. But you do have to have proof of purchase. Card statement etc is enough. I took something back to a DIY shop with no receipt and was told i must have a receipt, i said ';NO i only have to prove i bought it here, theres the person who sold it to me ';

Best to see the manager of the shop and tell them you shop there a lot and are very disappointed. Try to find the person who served you to se if they remember then cite that person

in your argument. Lets be fair, any one could walk in to boots with three old brushes and try to claim the money so proof of purchase is a fair and just procedure. I think you will win if you see the manager and be curteous and accept any good will gesture.

For avon reps and customers advice please! UK?

Ok so I became an avon representative 2 campains ago, 1st one was good 2nd was ok and so far on my 3rd im doing rubbish! I have 1 order out of a total 40 books i sent out (got about 35 of my books back so not the end of the world)

So basically what im asking is to the customers what makes you buy from your representative and not from the shops/ online.

And secondly to the reps what do you do when you get part way through a campain and are not doing so well to boost your sales? For avon reps and customers advice please! UK?
    Hi!!

Wouldn't worry hun its that time of year when the kids are home from school so all the mum's are spendingmoney etc on days out instead of on themselves, once the kids go back to school and everyone starts thinking about Christmas your sales will pick up.

Don't forget a lot of people go on holiday this time of year too.

One idea though is to try putting an extra order frm in customers books saying for a friend or to offer a free gift or discount for those spending over 拢20? Good luck!xxFor avon reps and customers advice please! UK?
I'm on my second campaign. So far, not doing too well. But I'm looking toward my next campaign and getting ready for that one. For my next one, I'm offering a discount on orders. And the one after that I'm offering a surprise gift with an order of $25 or more. The gift depends on what color the present is on the insert of the brochure. I'm also going to start putting my Avon fliers for my web store in all of the brochures to get people to look at it. I Got the ideas from my Avon homepage.
I'm soon to be a Mark rep I'm SO excited UH so I guess I'm a costumer ha

OK I ordered Avon since I was in the 5th grade cause I saw my teacher doing it lol shed come in the class and always bring the teacher goodies lol SO that's why i like ordering from the avon lady

and not everyone has a credit card to order on line with so that why some people choose to have an avon lady and also your image in important too you cant be a lousy looking avon lady or boring you have to tell them why Avon's so great and LOOK for people that likes avon call you Friends and tell them about products that's ate really good but not SO expensive
Ok, Im an Avon Rep/ Unit Leader/ Avon Admin. Asst. and there are tons of ideas to use to boost your sales. The list is lengthy but you can go to our district website at www.avondistrict4956.com and checkout the list. There are tools, tips, tricks, resources, and ideas that should help you out of your rut. Also, try leaving books or business cards in store bathroom stalls, on top of gas pumps, or just on random shelves at walmart. Offer 10% off on customers first orders. Everyone likes a sale.
i wonder if you know what has happened to the avon wet/dry eyeliner pencil

    i really want it

email me and let me know plzzzzzzz
I buy from my rep. because she is a friend, I like to help her out sometimes. I mostly buy products that are on-sale though.
    visit the following url
I can give you a reason why it can slacken in sales,

I was a Avon rep myself and yes thats what happens pretty annoying when you have pay for the books too!

I now look at the avon book when it comes throu my door and if there is anything i want out of there i go onto ebay and get it much cheaper..

Not sure if thats what ure customers are doing ordering off Ebay,Lets face it would you pay say 拢8 for a product when you can get it fr half price,?

to boost your sales why dont you drop a book in your local shops etc, another area,Dont be put off like i was keep at it and im sure you will pick up again,Not always has people got the money to pay when it comes,Better for the to order nothing than order if ure not going to get an answer from their door cos they cant pay,Then you wud have it all to send back, and thats a pain in the *** itself

Just try what im saying give a shop keeper 1 round abouts as the staff wud have a look through too, Old ppls homes etc

    Kay

    Hope u do ok x

  • Is he right or wrong? Advice needed UK?

I've just had an 'altercation' with a visitor to my next door neighbours house about parking. Our house has a driveway and an additional paved area in front of the house which is suitable for parking another car, a dropped curb runs the full length of the access.

Our neighbours driveway runs at an angle to ours and their visitor parked outside their gates, hence restricting access to that part of our property. We came back from shopping and wanted to reverse the car in but couldn't get the angle right to get on the paved area because of this vehicle. I went round and asked politely if whoever owned it wouldn't mind moving it but he came out livid as I'd interrupted his lunch saying that he shouldn't have to move his car because its not a 'recognised driveway' he was obstructing, but I thought that if you require access to your property for any reason and it is being obstructed, the person obstructing is breaking the law.

Anyone have any idea where we stand? Is he right or wrong? Advice needed UK?
Parking across a dropped kerb is illegal. A friend of mine had the police move a vehicle from across his drive in and they said if the problem continued to call them again. However if the kerb is not dropped then you have no right of access. Is he right or wrong? Advice needed UK?
if someone obstructs access to your home, then yes they are breaking the law, although i dont fully understand the layout of your drives... im assuming that they have moved the car by now though...
Snodders is right you need a dropped curb for right of way or put a cone or two down
hes only breaking the law if he is stopping you coming out of your drive then it is obstruction, if your not parked in it then he can park in front of your dropped kerb if he wishes but only an idiot would do this and judging by his reaction then.....!
As long as there are drop kerbs then it is an offence to obstruct access. Copy the page from the Highway Code and bang it on their windscreen, or phone the Police, but by the time they arrive he will be gone anyway!.
i wouldn't worry about it. he sounds angry, let him be angry and think about something interesting instead.
is that your only problem in life? if it is ... then arnt you lucky?

I am planning a trip, advice from UK People please.....?

    Hello.

I am 21 from England and me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to Asia next year. (2010)

We want to go to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

    June, July and August.

    Main questions::::::

1 - What type of paperwork will be needed and do i have to get them in advance (Visa's etc) ?

2 - We are planning to save 拢3000 each. Is this enough?

3 - Are these places safe? (I realise they are not going to be as safe as where i live, but you know what i mean)

4 - What essentials will i need in a backpack?

5 - Regarding travel - is it easy to get a flight from one place to another within these countries?

And any other help you think i may need.

I have never done this before and neither has any of my family so any tips would be great.

Thanks.I am planning a trip, advice from UK People please.....?
    1) For Thailand and Cambodia you'll get a 30 day stamp in your passport when you enter the country automatically as UK citizens. For Thailand its free, for Cambodia it isn't - you can check the price on a website but I think its US$25 for Cambodia. For Vietnam, as UK nationals, you have to arrange a visa in advance of arriving into the country.

    2) GBP3,000? Does this include your flight? Probably enough although could be a bit tight, especially if you want you flights to and from UK-SE Asia included in it (ebookers.com is good for flights UK-Bangkok-UK flights). 3 months in SE Asia on GBP1,000 per month? Well, you're a couple so really its GBP2,000 a month between the two of you so that looks more like it. Put like that it looks OK if you are careful. I'd advise bringing an ATM card/credit card just in case. The British pound has gone down a lot in the last year, if it fell as much again in the next year I don't know - GBP 3000 each is OK at today's foreign exchange rates.

    3) They are if you use your common sense and avoid what are obviously dangerous situations. If you have experience backpacking in Europe already you'll be better prepared. Every country has its share of fraudsters. Thailand is safer than Cambodia. (Actually, I think Bangkok is safer than some parts of the UK (e.g. Broad Street in Birmingham on a Saturday night.) Toursits do get killed occassionally but I don't remember reading any story about a tourist getting into trouble except when they we're being prudent about their personal safety. Walking on a beach alone at mignight can be dangerous but so can walking on Hamstead Heath alone at the same time of day. It just about being as smart when you're travelling as you would be at home.

    4) Stuff to bring. The obvious. You don't need to load yourselves down with Lonely planets as you can buy them when you arrive second hand and therefore cheap. Might be worth getting a cheap previous edition from amazon for your first country to go to - they normally cost a pound %26amp; P%26amp;P on amazon. I can't think of any essentials that you can buy in the UK that you can't get in Bangkok - maybe your particular brand of prescription medicine/the pill (if you use that - not my business), but that's about it. If you decide to travel light from UK to Bangkok and buy stuff when you arrive you have the collective knowledge of YA Thailand to call upon and they know pretty much where to buy anything and everything in Bangkok that you could buy in the UK and probably a lot cheaper than in the UK.

    5) Pretty much. AirAsia.com is cheap (although not as cheap as it used to be) if you book at least one month in advance. Where there isn't a flight you can get a coach.

Tip: don't be too flush with spending at the beginning. Make a budget (including an emergency fund) and stick to it. Don't buy gifts to take home until the end. Bring mobile phone each and have them unlocked when you arrive and use local SIM card - calling home from a mobile/to each other if you get separated using a local SIM isn't that expensive - calling rates are cheaper in SE Asia than UK. Get proper travel insurance in case of accidents. Make an itinerary and check for previous answers in YA about how to get to and from the places you're going - chances are its been covered before.I am planning a trip, advice from UK People please.....?
No problem. Look forward to more questions nearer the time of your visit. Isn't it interesting (well to me anyway) that by asking for UK people's advice the regulars in YA Thailand from the US stayed away and, co-incidentally, the number of thumbs down fell dramatically (to zero) - now we know.

You will get a 30 day permit on arrival and this can be extended for another 30 days by crossing a border and comming straight back in.Last I heard you could only do this twice and then need to spend 3 monnths out of the country but the rules change all the time.

Must get yourself a guidebook of south-east Asia. I recommend lonely planet as it tels you almost everything in detail.
you don't need a visa for thailand if you are not staying more than one month, and im pretty sure the other countries are the same, yes 3000 each is plenty the cost of living here is forty percent less than uk, in my opinion only speaking for thailand its much safer than uk, but like anywhere in the world its better to keep where there are lots of people, there are many nice cheap hotels for you to stay.
Thank you for your interesting in our country, Thailand and neighbors

    1. For Thailand, you need only passport..you can get visa on arrival here..for the others, i am not sure sorry.

2.I think so, becuase the cost of live in these three countries are not so high as yours

    3. Yes

    4. Medicines for your congenital disease is the most neccessary..the others such as cloth..food..and hotel...you can find the cheap ones here

    5.yes, it is

Well, UK people ????? I hate you, hate you and hate you.

    Please read below:-

Refusal of Airport Transit Visa ?

My friend from India wanted to go to Chile (South America) and he got visa for Chile stamped on his passport. Then he took a ticket to Santiago, Chile from Delhi via London and SaoPaulo from British Airways, a confirmed ticket.

We found it very strange from the UK Embassy site of India that he needed an Airport Transit Visa for London Airport even when his halt at airport was only for 4 hours and his connecting flight was from the same terminal.

We thought that it was one more way of earning money and so he applied for the same. To our surprise we also found that UK Embassy needed some strange documents which may be required for a regular tourist visa to UK but apparently not required for an Airport Transit Visa. These documents were like financial guarantee and original bank statements etc.

In any case, he applied for the visa along with the requisite documents. To our surprise, he was refused the visa and the letter did not give any reason for the refusal and there was no right to appeal also.

Thinking that it might be a mistake, he again applied for the visa, this time explaining his position that he holds a visa for his ultimate destination and that he was to only catch a connecting flight from London. But this time also he was refused visa. Again no reasons were given and there was no right to appeal.

So my friend had to suffer not only financial losses but mental torture also. Is there no international law to curb these wrong practices.?

My friend was never refused any visa in the past as he has not outside India except once to Dubai.

This Airport Transit Visa has come into force recently in all European/ Schegen countries. Some countries like South Africa have rather doing away with such a visa to make traveling easier.
    1) You can get Visa on arrival for Thailand and Cambodia. You'll have to apply for a Visa for Vietnam. This can be done with a travel agent in Thailand for about 35 quid

    2) That should be fine. Thailand will be the most expensive tho. Always haggle especailly with the tuk tuk drivers. They will fleece you.

    3) They are fine, just use common sense. Seriously people worry about how dangerous they are. Not nearly has dangerous on a high street after closing time.

    4) Silk bed liner, wind up torch, good first aid kit (you can get meds in Thailand easily and cheaply) At least three travel locks, Mossie net (depends on your budget for hotels!), Bite cream! A sense of humour,

    5) Very easy especially with Air Asia and very cheap too. It will save you alot of hours on the bus and is well worth doing.

One thing thats been good for me is to use a big can of bug spray to clear a room before I stay in it. Just spray the corners of the room and go to dinner by the time you get back any nasties should be pushing up flowers.
Best to check with your travel agent regarding visas. I know that for Thailand you will be stamped a 30 day tourist visa free when you arrive in Bangkok. Cost wise, Asia is a lot cheaper than the UK, hotels from a tenner, food great tasting and very good value.

Thailand is a very safe country to visit and travel around, and would think the other countries are similar, just dont go flashing large amounts of cash around. Remember alot of Asia is still very very poor.

You will have a great holiday, just be respectful and friendly. If you require any specific medications, either bring with you or keep a copy of your prescription to show in pharmacies. Toiletries are readily available everywhere, all brands, asians are a very clean people.

Any advice for teachers trying to work abroad (specif. from US to UK/ Ire) at safe, good schools?

For quite some time, I've been researching living out of the US and in the UK or Ireland. I would like to go for schooling for my second masters degree and work part-time, OR just teach full-time in said countries. I am pretty open to suggestions, but my greatest deal is that I want to be in a good school that is certified and I don't have to PAY in order to teach. There are some companies that find you teaching placement AFTER you pay $5,000 or so...not interested in that. Want upstanding emplyment/ education. I am hoping for real-life, plausable suggestions on how to do this.Any advice for teachers trying to work abroad (specif. from US to UK/ Ire) at safe, good schools?
just to console u that at least one has seen ur problem. I'm not able to answer this question. I suggest you to try some search engines.

Jobseekers Budget Loan Advice Plz!? UK?

    Jobseekers Budget Loan Advice Plz!?

Dont know quite how to explain it but i will do best i can,

When i first met the gf she got a budget loan from income support with her son, Her name was only on that as i only just met her, and she is still paying it back as we speak.

But now we are on jobseekers allowance and claiming together, Job seekers allowance is in my name and i go sign on and look for jobs etc. I phoned the budget loan people to see if i qualify for a budget loan and they said i havnt had one before so yes you can.

But im not to sure cause once i get my forms, obviously it will say have you got a partner if so give details etc. So my question is if i put her name down as my partner and claiming together will they still accept my budget loan as ive not had one before, or will they say no because the partner has had one before. Any ideas peepsJobseekers Budget Loan Advice Plz!? UK?
As you are on a joint claim you will need to put your gf name on the form, the budgeting loan she had is in her name, so you can apply for another one, as you have not had one before.

You need to of been claiming JSA for 26 weeks (6months) to qualify for it, can take quite a few weeks to process as most places have a back log at the moment. Best thing to do is get the form filled in and get it sent off. For more info check out www.jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk it has all the information on Budgeting loans.

Porsche or Maserati? Advice please (UK request)?

I work long hours in my own business and drive a boring ML every day. I want something for the weekends that's quick around a track, even though I'm never taking it to one...! but a car that I can also take on long drives to my holiday apartment (200 mile round trip)... I have decided on a Maserati 3200GT or a 996 series Porsche 911 Carerra 4 in black with red leather whichever one I choose. I don't want to spend more than 拢20k and I don't care about depreciation as I will be keeping it for at least ten years. I have been trying to make this decision for over 6 months now so I just want to see what most other people would do in my situation. Alternative car suggestions welcome, but please keep in mind both my budget and expectations regarding comfort and car style. I certainly don't want a Subaru Impreza, for instance! Many thanks in advance.Porsche or Maserati? Advice please (UK request)?
Maserati, Porsche's are way too commonPorsche or Maserati? Advice please (UK request)?
It is impossible to find either of those cars for under 20.000 You'll need to buy second-hand. I would recommend the Porsche, but also neither of those cars that you've suggested are particularly good at circling the track.
Look for a 1989 Hyundai Excel instead.
    How about a DB7

Moving location, jobs, all in the UK. any advice?

Hi all. My Fiancee and i graduated last year and have been working in Northampton building our careers for the past year. But now we want to move back around our home town. We have the usual student debts but are survivors because we are not silly with our money. April next year our rented tenancy here runs out and we want to start a fresh back home. we have no 12mth contract direct debits or anything and apart from our jobs, we have nothing to keep us here in Northampton. I have built a good year in my graduate field with working in the studdied industry, but my Fiancee Laura has not. She is happy with her job, but i am not really with mine. So really, we both have no ties to move back home. how are we going to make this drastic change and what should we expect to happen. DO we hunt jobs 1st, send cvs off everywhere in the area? i know we can rent and this is easy to sort out. we are not stressed by thinking of it all, but we do want to do it right with minimal stress. Thanks all xxxMoving location, jobs, all in the UK. any advice?
You both need jobs to go to before you move. Head home, pick up all the local papers and contact every recruitment agent in the area.

Reading between the lines, are you sure Laura wants to move?Moving location, jobs, all in the UK. any advice?
Upload your Microsoft word CVs on these web sites and you will be hunted down by employers and agency's, you can also do local vacancy searches for the area that you are moving to.

The job centre plus web site is also good, I just look at every job at or above my salary range regardless, they are also specific to your area.

The www.e-cvs.net is a subscription service but they send your CV out to all of the Agency's for you, it's much quicker, well worth the 70 pounds for annual subscription. I would put you Cell phone number on your CV as the main number and a friend or your parent鈥檚 local address or even a local secretarial service address as employers don't want to get involved in relocation and the expenses that go with that. It is best they see all the Good info as soon as they look at your CV as they don't want to dig further in for explanations of why you are applying from outside the area.

    Good Luck

I am just about to finish my degree in computing but have no idea what type of job I can get with the degree or what job I want to do!

My uni is useless and offers next to know help! Can anyone suggest either:

    A. A list of jobs I can do with this degree

    B. A site I can find jobs in the uk?

I really want a job in or around oxford, I am currently in Bolton. I leave uni in May and would really like to have a job to go into as soon as I leave!

Any help at all will be fantastic, thank you all.Career advice for uk student?
I'm not trying to be negative, but it might be hard for you to find a job anytime soon because of the world economy. There are too many people who were laid off of their jobs (worldwide) and currently looking for work now. So, you will be in competition with people who have much more experience and education than you have.

If you watch the news, I'm sure they will say something about thousands of people being laid off from this/that company, and how many thousands are losing their homes because they cannot afford to pay for it because they lost their jobs.

Hopefully, by next year things will be better. I do wish you the best of luck!Career advice for uk student?
In the USA we have a reference book called the Dictionary of Occupational Titles that lists careers according to the degree required.

Ask your librarian for a similar guide book that applies to UK.
Come to the US! As a European, you should have no problem! IT is still growing here.

london earns a lot of moneyMoving location, jobs, all in the UK. any advice?
SHE IS HAPPY IN HER JOB?DOE,S SHE WANT TO MOVE?ASK HER TO BE HONEST ABOUT IT.IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY,YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE CERTAIN CONCESSIONS.IS THERE WORK BACK HOME?IS IT HER HOME OR YOURS?DON,T DITHER OR YOU WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING,IF YOU BOTH FEEL YOU NEED TO MOVE,DO IT.
Jobs first as the houses and other services are impossible if you haven't got a job to pay for them...AND...make sure that Laura feels her job is better than the one she has now, because if it isn't, she will resent you in the future.....maybe not next year, or the year after, but it will happen if you cramp her career.

The thing is, you have both moved before and you have each other, so what are you really scared of?
If money is not a problem, I would say move first, and give yourselves a 3 month target to find a job. Otherwise you are going to take the first available job offered. Getting a rental and a job to start at the same time will not be easy, so allow an overlap of this period and concentrate on one thing at a time. Good luck.
