Need advice, going to Vegas from UK for 3 days!?

Hi, we're going to vegas next sept for 3 days and were hoping to not book a hotel and just slip into one if we wanted to sleep (we don't plan on it!). So has anyone done this? Also how much money should be take and should it be cash? Also do the casino's mind you taking bags in? We're going to pack VERY lightly so it'll only be a small rucksack between us. Many thanksNeed advice, going to Vegas from UK for 3 days!?
1. You will probably be OK not booking a hotel, but you should check to make sure there isn't some major convention or event going on during the days of your stay. It can happen that most hotels on the Strip get sold out

2. It's impossible to know how much money you will need. Only you know your gambling proclivities. I usually spend about $200/day per person which includes seeing a live show, a nice dinner, and incidentals - but does not include gambling. I could do it for half that amount if I wanted to cheap out.

3. I bring cash because I don't like to pay ATM fees. It's pretty safe on the Strip if you take only a couple simple precautions against pickpockets (which are less numerous than in Europe).

4. I have left my bags at Vegas hotels many times when I arrived a half-day or more prior to check-in. Never had a problem.Need advice, going to Vegas from UK for 3 days!?
Every casino operates 24/7, but you would NOT be allowed to sleep anywhere inside casinos except in guest rooms. Casinos have a lot of cameras everywhere so it's difficult for you to hide. Yes you can take a small case with you. How much money you need all depends on if you are going to gamble or what you are looking for. There are fast food restaurants on the strip so you could eat cheap or expensive. Other than for taxis and tipping, and the money for gambling, you won't need cash. There are plenty of ATM machines in every casino.
What you should do is get a Capri Room at the Imperial Palace for like $30-$35. They are really ugly, but at least you'll have a place for showers and a quick nap and to store your things. Also you'll be center strip so it's an easy walk to the best casinos.

A rucksack is a problem near a gaming table like blackjack. The casinos are paranoid about people sneaking in computers in their bags. They are not as concerned if you are sitting near a slot machine. However, casinos are pretty public places. It will be annoying to have to watch over your bag all the time.
You will find a room in Las Vegas but I would book in advance then you get the best price. I would also check http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - it has the latest promotions available.
