my advise is to treat the inmates like men but not as an equal .if you are respectful of them but sturn in your command they will respect you in return. there will always be one or two who will act a fool but if you remain professional, exercise your authority, and always protect yourself you will be fine.I have applied to become a Prison Officer (in the UK)- any sensible and serious advice/ tips welcome?
