Whats the uk like and what some basic facts on jobs, the people, places to visit, weather etc and anything id have to know about the country. Im really interested in the idea of staying longer or maybe even living there one day if i liked it enough. Any advice would be appreciated.Travelling to uk need advice??

there is a chain of bars called 'Walkabout' over here- I'm assuming they are in australia too :) They normally have australians working in them- you could work in one for a while and then when you've got a better idea of the country you'll have a better idea about where to travel. Not quite what you were asking but I thought I'd say it anyway :)
The UK is England, Scotland, Wales %26amp; Northern Ireland altogether,

I only know England,

England is a great place, plenty of jobs, places to vist,

Lake District,

London,

Bath,

York,

Strafford upon Avon,

Peak District,

Yorkshire Dales,

Cotswold's,

Northumberland,

North Yorkshire Moors,

New Forest,

South Downs,

Oxford,

Cambridge,

We love Football, try going to a game, Manchester, Liverpool,

Nightlife in any major city, London, Manchester, Leeds, is fantastic,

Plenty of great sports events, Golf, Boxing, Ruby, Cricket, Football, Tennis, happen ever year,

Concerts, Cinema, Musems, in most major cities are great
Visit London, but work in Liverpool or Manchester. There are lots of interesting places to visit in the North West, the people are lovely and the cost of living is much cheaper.
everybody always heads for London , and its a great place to visit but if you want to save a lot of money then head north , London is very expensive .There is plenty of jobs over here and the nightlife is not bad , everybody loves football (soccer) and the weather is usually crap , plenty of rain.but us brits love the old place and are proud of it .
