Jobseekers Budget Loan Advice Plz!?


Dont know quite how to explain it but i will do best i can,





When i first met the gf she got a budget loan from income support with her son, Her name was only on that as i only just met her, and she is still paying it back as we speak.





But now we are on jobseekers allowance and claiming together, Job seekers allowance is in my name and i go sign on and look for jobs etc. I phoned the budget loan people to see if i qualify for a budget loan and they said i havnt had one before so yes you can.





But im not to sure cause once i get my forms, obviously it will say have you got a partner if so give details etc. So my question is if i put her name down as my partner and claiming together will they still accept my budget loan as ive not had one before, or will they say no because the partner has had one before. As you are on a joint claim you will need to put your gf name on the form, the budgeting loan she had is in her name, so you can apply for another one, as you have not had one before.


You need to of been claiming JSA for 26 weeks (6months) to qualify for it, can take quite a few weeks to process as most places have a back log at the moment.
