Moving location, jobs, all in the UK. any advice?

Hi all. My Fiancee and i graduated last year and have been working in Northampton building our careers for the past year. But now we want to move back around our home town. We have the usual student debts but are survivors because we are not silly with our money. April next year our rented tenancy here runs out and we want to start a fresh back home. we have no 12mth contract direct debits or anything and apart from our jobs, we have nothing to keep us here in Northampton. I have built a good year in my graduate field with working in the studdied industry, but my Fiancee Laura has not. She is happy with her job, but i am not really with mine. So really, we both have no ties to move back home. how are we going to make this drastic change and what should we expect to happen. DO we hunt jobs 1st, send cvs off everywhere in the area? i know we can rent and this is easy to sort out. we are not stressed by thinking of it all, but we do want to do it right with minimal stress. Jobs first as the houses and other services are impossible if you haven't got a job to pay for them...AND...make sure that Laura feels her job is better than the one she has now, because if it isn't, she will resent you in the future.....maybe not next year, or the year after, but it will happen if you cramp her career.


The thing is, you have both moved before and you have each other, so what are you really scared of?
If money is not a problem, I would say move first, and give yourselves a 3 month target to find a job. Otherwise you are going to take the first available job offered. Getting a rental and a job to start at the same time will not be easy, so allow an overlap of this period and concentrate on one thing at a time. Good luck.
